An Act to amend the Cinematograph Ordinance 1951

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1. Short Title –
This Act may be cited as the Cinematograph Ordinance Amendment Act 1966 and shall be read and deemed part or the Cinematograph Ordinance 1951 (hereinafter referred to as "the Ordinance").
2. Conduct of entertainments –
(1) Section 8 or the Ordinance is hereby amended -
(a) By inserting before the words "No child" the words "Except as provided in section 35 of the Education Act 1966,";
(b) By omitting the words "of school age (namely, not less than six years and less than fourteen years of age)" and substituting in their place the words "enrolled at and attending any school"; and
(c) By omitting the words "half past eight at night" and substituting in their place "8.00 p.m."
(2) Section 9 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by inserting after the words "hour of" the following words:
"11.00p.m. in Avarua, Rarotonga, during the months of October to March (both inclusive) and in all other cases after the hour of".
3. Miscellaneous –
Section 21 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by -
(a) Omitting the words "the Education" and substituting in their place the words "any Government"; and
(b) Inserting after the word "charitable" the words "or religious".
