An Act to amend the Primary Produce Marketing Board Act 1970-71

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Primary Produce Marketing Board Amendment Act 1972 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Primary Produce Marketing Board Act 1970-71 (hereinafter referred to as "the Principal Act").

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd day of March 1971 (being the date of commencement of the principal Act).

2. Interpretation

Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from the definition of the term "Financial year" the words "April in any year to the thirty-first day of March in the following year", and substituting the words "January in any year to the thirty-first day of December in that year".

This Act is administered by the Primary Produce Marketing Board.
