An Act to amend the provisions of the Time Act 1978
(11 June 1979
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows -
This Act may be cited as the Time Amendment Act 1978-79, and shall be read together with and be deemed part of the Time Act 1978 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").
Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the figures "180°E" and substituting the figures "150°W" and by omitting the words "twenty two and one half" and substituting the word "ten".
Section 4 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (a) of subsection (1) and substituting therefor the following paragraph:
"(a) The time for general purposes in the Cook Islands shall be such period up to 1 hour in advance of Cook Islands Standard Time as the High Commissioner directs.".
