AN ACT TO AMEND THE COMPANIES ORDINANCE (CAP. 10A)

Commencement:
2004

MADE by the Maneaba ni Maungatabu and assented to by the Beretitenti.

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Act 2004.

Amendment of section 131

2. Section 131 of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 10A) is amended in paragraph (b) by repealing the words -

"at the expiration of 3 months from the date of the service of notice of removal on the director, the company and the Registrar, whichever notice shall be served first"

and substituting the words -

"on the date of such instrument".

THE COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) ACT 2004

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

The object of this short Act is to make a removal instrument issued on a director, the company or Registrar, effective on the day that such instrument is signed.
