§401. Short Title.

This Chapter may be cited as the "Judicial Compensation Act 1983." [P.L. 1983-3, §1.]

§402. Compensation otherwise than in the Community Courts.

(1) The annual salaries of judges, other than judges of the Community Courts, are as follows:

(2) The judges are also entitled to other allowances and other benefits as provided for contract officers of the Public Service.

(3) In each case the compensation is subject to the usual deductions from salary.

§403. Compensation of judges of the Community Courts.

The annual salary of a judge of the a Community Court is $2,400. [Salary set at $2,400 by P.L. 2001-23 §1(B).]

§404. Suspension of Compensation.

(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Chapter or any other law, the salary of a justice or judge shall be suspended:

(a) for a justice or judge of the High Court, Traditional Rights Court, District Court, or a Community Court, while any cause before the judge remains pending and undetermined for 45 days after it has been submitted for decision; and

• (b) for justice of the Supreme Court, while any cause before the justice or Supreme Court panel remains pending and undetermined for 120 days after it has been submitted for decision. [added by P.L. 1994-108, §2.][amended by P.L. 2010-48]
