MOTOR TRAFFIC (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2007

AN ACT

to repeal Section 161 of the Motor Traffic Act, 1986 in order to remove the limitations for tinting of windows of privately owned vehicles, and to repeal the exemptions which were provided under Section 161A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE NITIJELA OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS:

Section 1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act, 2007.

Section 2. Amendments

(1) Section 161 of the Motor Traffic Act, 1986 is hereby deleted in its entirety.

(2) Section 161A of the Motor Traffic Act, 1986 is hereby deleted in its entirety.

Section 3. Effective Date

This Act shall take effect upon certification in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules and Procedures of the Nitijela.

CERTIFICATE

I hereby certify:

(1) That Nitijela Bill No:139 was passed by the Nitijela of the Republic of the Marshall Islands on the 4th day of April ,2007; and

(2) That I am satisfied that Nitijela Bill No.:139 was passed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Rules of Procedures of the Nitijela.
