EMERGENCY POWERS

PRESIDENTIAL ORDER 15
ARTICLE 78

A State of Emergency having been declared under Article 77(1) of the Constitution of Nauru and, being satisfied that this order is reasonably required to safeguard the interests of the community, by virtue of the powers vested in me under Article 78(1) of the Constitution of Nauru, I MARCUS STEPHEN, President of the Republic of Nauru hereby order as follows:

1. Notwithstanding that Presidential Order 11 dated 2 July 2010 (prescribing rates of customs duty) would otherwise lapse with the lapsing of the State of Emergency declared by me on 2 July 2010, the said Order shall continue in force.
