PUBLIC HOLIDAY ORDINANCE 1961
1961, No. 11
An Ordinance to regulate the Public Holidays on Niue (13 April 1961).
1. Short Title - This Ordinance may be cited as the Niue Island Public Holidays Ordinance 1961.
2. Days observed as Public Holidays - The following days shall be observed as Pubic Holidays on the Island of Niue:
Sundays | | |
Christmas Day | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
Boxing Day | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
New Year's Day | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
2nd January | | |
Good Friday | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
Easter Monday | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
Anzac Day | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
The Sovereign's Day | - | on the date observed in New Zealand |
Annexation Day | - | on the third Monday in October |
Peniamina's Day | - | on the fourth Monday in October |
and/or any other day as publicly notified by the Resident Commissioner.
3. Repeals - The Niue Island Public Holidays Ordinance1958, No.54 is hereby repealed.
