FIREARMS SAFETY REGULATIONS 2007

PURSUANT to section 24(2) (f) of the Arms Act 1975 the Minister of Police with the consent of the Cabinet of Ministers makes the following regulations


1Title

These are the Firearms Safety Regulations 2007.

2 Interpretation

In these Regulations –

"Act" means the Arms Act 1975.

3 Registration of firearms safety requirement

For the registration of a firearm under sections 6 and 7 of the Act, the owner shall: -

(a) produce evidence of attendance at a Police firearm safety seminar; and

(b) by practical test or by other evidence, satisfy the Arms Officer that the owner has appropriate knowledge of firearms safety.
