AN ACT

entitled

Arrest (Amendment) Act 2015

Being an Act to amend the Arrest Act (Chapter 339),

MADE by the National Parliament.

ARRANGEMENT OF SECTION.

APPLICATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2).

Section 2 of the Principal Act is amended –

(a) by repealing Subsection (1) and replacing it with the following new subsection:

"(1) Notwithstanding any other law but subject to Subsections (2) and (3) and Section 24, this Act applies to and in relation to an arrest for any offence under this Act or under any other law."; and

(b) by adding the following new subsection immediately after Subsection (2):

"(3) This Act does not apply to immigration detention under the Migration Act (Chapter 16)".
