ARRANGEMENT OF SECTION.

1. New Section 1A.

"1A. EXEMPTIONS.".

AN ACT

entitled

Distillation (Amendment) Act 1996,

Being an Act to amend the Distillation Act (Chapter 305),

MADE by the National Parliament to be deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 1996.

1. NEW SECTION 1A.

Part 1 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after Section 1 the following new section:-

"1A. EXEMPTIONS.
(1) The Minister may, by notice in the National Gazette, exempt -

• (a) a person; or
• (b) a class of persons,

from all or any of the provisions of this Act.
"(2) An exemption under Subsection (1) may be subject to conditions specified in the notice.
