Ascertainment of strength of spirits (Amendment of Section 48).

AN ACT

entitled

Distillation (Budget Provisions 2001) Act 2000

Being an Act to amend the Distillation Act (Chapter 305),

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation on 1 January 2001.

ASCERTAINMENT OF STRENGTH OF SPIRITS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 48).

Section 48 of the Principal Act is amended by adding the following new Subsection (3):^-

"(3) All costs associated with the analysis of spirits, by whatever method used, to ascertain the volume of alcohol contained in spirits are payable by the distiller or manufacturer of the spirits.".
