An Act

entitled

Medicines and Cosmetics (Amendment) Act 2016,

Being an Act to amend the Medicines and Cosmetics Act 1999 to remove fees and charges powers, and for related purposes,

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.

1. APPLICATION FOR LICENCE (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 9).

Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), by repealing Paragraph (c) .

2. APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF A PHARMACY (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 24).

Section 24 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (1), Paragraph (b), by deleting the word "prescribed".

3. REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 54)

Section 54 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing Paragraph (y).

4. CONTINUANCE OF FORMER ACTS, ETC.

All acts, matters or things done or suffered or deemed to have been done or suffered or taken, or procedural steps taken under or for the purposes of the Principal Act and having effect immediately before the coming into operation of this Act, shall, after that coming into operation, continue in full force and effect until those acts, matters, things or procedural steps are otherwise replaced.
