TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP (JUDGMENTS AND ORDERS)

No. 2 of 1959AN ACT FOR THE REMOVAL OF DOUBTS CONCERNING THE CONTINUED VALIDITY OF CERTAIN JUDGMENTS, DECREES AND ORDERS
[14th September, 1959]
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Treaty of Friendship (Judgments and Orders) Act.
Certain judgments etc. to continue in effect.
2. On and after the final ratification of the Treaty of Friendship between Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Her Majesty the Queen of Tonga made at Nuku'alofa on the 26th day of August, 1958 all judgments, decrees and orders of whatsoever nature theretofor made Her Britannic Majesty's High Commissioner's Court for the Western Pacific holden in Tonga shall continue in full force and effect, notwithstanding any transfer of the jurisdiction of the said Court to the Courts of His Majesty the King of Tonga.
Enforcement thereof.
3. Any such judgment, decree or order may be enforced in the same manner and in such Courts as if the same had been a judgment decree or order made by a Court of His Majesty the King of Tonga having jurisdiction.
