TO REPEAL THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE ACT

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:
1 (1) This Act may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Repeal) Act 2007.
(2) This Act shall come into force on a date to be proclaimed by His Majesty in Council which shall be the same day as the Customs
and Excise Management Act 2006, Customs Act 2006 and the Excise Tax Act 2006.
2 The Customs and Excise Act (CAP. 67) is hereby repealed.
3. Notwithstanding sub-section (2), the Customs and Excise Act (CAP. 67) shall continue to apply for all purposes whatsoever in respect of any goods imported into or manufactured in the Kingdom or any license or appointment subject to the Customs and Excise Act (CAP. 67) before the date of commencement of the Customs and Excise Management Act 2006, Customs Act 2006 and the Excise Tax Act 2006.
