AN ACT TO REPEAL THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVES ACT

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Industrial Development Incentives (Repeal) Act 2007.
(2) This Act shall come into force on a date to be proclaimed by His Majesty in Council.
2. The Industrial Development Incentives Act (VAHE 114) is hereby repealed.
3. Notwithstanding section 2, the Industrial Development Incentives Act (VAHE 114) shall continue to apply for all purposes whatsoever in respect of any licence issued under the Act until the term allowed under such licence expires.
Passed by the Legislative Assembly this 3rd day of September 2007.
