MAGISTRATES' COURTS (AMENDMENT) ACT 1992

AN ACT TO AMEND THE MAGISTRATES' COURTS ACT

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Magistrates' Courts (Amendment) Act 1992. The Magistrates' Court Act (Cap. 11), as amended, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 60(1) of the Principal Act is hereby amended by deleting "$100" and inserting in its stead "$1,000".

Passed in the Legislative Assembly this 1st of September 1992.
