MAGISTRATES' COURTS (AMENDMENT) ACT 1990

AN ACT TO AMEND THE MAGISTRATES' COURTS ACT

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Magistrates' Courts (Amendment) Act 1990.

(2) The Magistrates' Courts Act, as amended, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 21 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after the word "bail" wherever it appears the words "in accordance with the Bail Act 1990".

3. Sections 42, 43, 45 and 46 of the Principal Act are repealed.

4. Section 44 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words "as hereinafter provided" and substituted therefor "in accordance with the Bail Act 1990".

5. The Schedule to the Principal Act is amended by deleting Form XIII therefrom.

Passed in the Legislative Assembly this 13th day of November, 1990.
