NATIONAL RESERVE BANK OF TONGA (AMENDMENT) ACT 1990

AN ACT TO AMEND THE NATIONAL RESERVE BANK OF TONGA ACT

I assent,

BE IT ENACTED by the King and the Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the National Reserve Bank of Tonga (Amendment) Act 1990.

(2) The National Reserve Bank of Tonga Act, 1988 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 8 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting the following new sub-section after sub-section (2):

"(3) It shall be lawful for an interim distribution of profit to be paid to the general revenue of the Kingdom after the 31st December in any year.".

Passed in the Legislative Assembly this 13 day of June 1990.
