Act 14 of 2000
AN ACT TO AMEND THE PASSPORT ACT

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Passport (Amendment) Act 2000, and shall come into force on 1 July 2001.
(2) The Passport Act (Cap. 61), as amended, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
2. Sections 10, 11, 13, 17, 19, 20, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29, 32 and 34 of the Principal Act are amended by deleting the words "Minister of Police" wherever they appear and substituting therefore "Minister of Foreign Affairs".
3. Schedule I of the Principal Act is amended:
(i) by deleting the words "Minister of Police" from Forms II, III and IV and substituting therefor "Minister of Foreign Affairs";
(ii) by deleting the words "the Senior Police Official" from Forms II and III and substituting therefor "an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs".
Passed by the Legislative Assembly this 4 day of September, 2000.
