TO AMEND THE RENEWABLE ENERGY ACT 2008

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Renewable Energy (Amendment) Act 2009.

(2) The Renewable Energy Act 2008 shall be referred to in this Act, as the Principal Act.

2. Section 8 of the Principal Act is amended as follows:

(a) in subsection (2) by deleting "(e)" and replacing with "(c)"; and
(b) in subsection (3)(a) by deleting "4" and replacing with "2".
