LUGANVILLE MUNICIPALITY (COMPOSITION OF COUNCIL AND WARDS)

Order 40 of 1982
Order 2 of 1998

To provide for the composition of the Luganville Municipal Council and the wards of the Luganville Municipality and matters connected therewith.

1. Composition of Luganville Municipal Council
The Luganville Municipal Council shall be composed of thirteen (13) members to be elected in accordance with Orders made under sections 3 and 6 of the Municipalities Act [Cap. 126].

2. Wards of the Luganville Municipality
The Luganville Municipality shall be divided into four (4) wards as delineated on the map annexed to this Order.

3. Names of wards and number of councillors to represent each ward.
The names of the wards and the number of councillors representing each ward shall be:

4. Variation of Boundary
The Centre Ward boundary in Luganville is varied by extension in so far as it shall cover and include the Ex-District Commission which was formerly under the East Ward.

5. Centre Ward polling stations
For the purpose of Luganville Municipal elections, Centre Ward shall consist of the following Polling Stations:

(a) Town hall;
(b) Youth Centre; and
(c) Ex-District Commission.
