1. Insertion of new section 21A in Chapter 66.
2. Insertion of new Schedule 1 in the principal Act.
3. Commencement.

1. The following new, section is inserted after section 21 of the Immigration Act [Cap. 66] in this Act referred to as the "principal Act":-

21A. The various fees set out in column B shall be payable, on application, by the applicant to the Principal Immigration Officer for the various matters set out under column A in Schedule 1 hereto."

2. The following new Schedule is inserted after section 23 of the principal Act:-

COLUMN A	COLUMN B

(a) On application for a permit to enter and reside in Vanuatu for a period of one year	VT 20,000;
(b) On application for a long term permit (3-15 years)	VT 50,000;
(c) On application for an extension of a permit to reside in Vanuatu for a period of one year for applicants who were resident in Vanuatu prior to 30 July 1980	VT 10,000;
(d) On application for an extension of a permit to reside in Vanuatu for a period of one year for applicants who entered Vanuatu on or after 30 July 1980	VT 20,000;
(e) On application for a permit to enter and reside in Vanuatu for one year for children under 18 years of age	VT 2,000;
(f) On application for an extension of a permit to reside in Vanuatu for children under 18 years of age	VT 1,000;
The replacement or alteration of a permit on change of immigration status	VT 5,000;
The preparation of any other certificate or document	VT 1,500."

3. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
