IMPORT DUTIES (AMENDMENT) ACT
NO. 29 OF 2010

An Act to amend the Import Duties Act [CAP 91].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendment

The Import Duties Act [CAP 91] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 January 2011.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF import duties ACT [CAP 91]

1 Schedule 1

Delete from the Schedule for each relevant tariff item in column 1 of the table the current rate of import duty set out in column 4 of the table, substitute the new rate of import duty set out in column 4 of the table.

2 Schedule 3, After paragraph X66 (1) (d)

Insert

“(da) goods (other than disaster relief aid) imported by or on behalf of a national development project approved by the Council of Ministers, and further provided that a project profile is prepared through the Department and approved by the responsible Ministry ;”
