THE BANKRUPTCY (AMENDMENT) RULES 1969

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 132 of the Bankruptcy Act 1914(a) and with the concurrence of the President of the Board of Trade, hereby makes the following Rules:-
1.-(1) These Rules may be cited as the Bankruptcy (Amendment) Rules 1969 and shall come into operation on 31st July 1969.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889(b) shall apply to these Rules as it applies to an Act of Parliament.
2. For the words “the period beginning on 1st August and ending on 15th September” in Rule 123(1) of the Bankruptcy Rules 1952(c) as amended (d) there shall be substituted the words “the month of August”.

These Rules extend the times for the opening of the office of the Chief Bankruptcy Registrar.
